Swell and Crescendo pedal

Post by Aandrew » Sun Jan 03, 2016 5:57 am

I'm using Miditzer 216 on my Viscount Chorale3 but I can't configurate solo swell and crescendo pedal.
How can I do to configure that?

What pedals are available on the Viscount Chorale? Is it two pedals--swell and crescendo? Or more?

Do you know what MIDI messages are sent by these pedals? If not, you might be able to find the information in the manual for the organ or you can use MIDI-OX to look at what the pedals send.

I found the manual for the Viscount Chorale 3 but I didn't see the information about what the swell pedals send for MIDI messages. You'll probably have to use the free MIDI-OX program to look at the MIDI output of the Chorale to find out what messages, if any, are sent. You might save some time if your MIDI to computer cable includes an LED that flashes whenever you press a keyboard key that is sent to the computer (most do) by looking to see if that LED flashes when you move the swell shoes. If you don't get flashing, then nothing is going to show up in MIDI-OX either.
