Re: 3. Combination Action, part 1
Remember that the stops/couplers/trems switches each generate two MIDI messages, one (CC 81 or 83) when the switch is closed and another (CC 80 or 82) when the switch is opened. The pistons only send one message (Program Change) when the switch is closed.

The Miditzer MIDI device.
Hello,
thank you, Jim, for prompt and very valuable explanations in these discussions. I agree that nearly all issues was already explained and other issues can be investigated by software simulation of MIDI messages in connection to Miditzer.
I have read a lot of your discussions here and may be, I can help you. I can make MIDI device dedicated especially for the Miditzer.
I suppose following features of the device (according Miditzer Style 260SP):
1. MIDIfy all Stops (199 switches)
2. MIDIfy all memory levels (10 switches)
3. MIDIfy all Pistons (PC+0, PC+1, PC+2, MEM..., cancels, about 109 switches)
4. + additionaly MIDIfy Pedalboard (32 pedals)
5. + additionally two Swell/Crescendo pedal inputs (2 potentiometers)
It means you would need only this one MIDI device, (three) MIDI keyboards and one Swell pedal and you can build whole Miditzer Style 260SP organ at home.
Device would be compatible with all Miditzer styles (150, 216, 260).
My questions are:
Would the device be helpful for you?
Do you miss some feature?
How many people would need this device?
Thank you for your ideas.
Berold

Re: The Miditzer MIDI device.
I think this is an open invitation for anyone to express their interest in this device.Berold wrote:My questions are:

One thing I spot on a quick review is that there probably should be support for three potentiometer inputs so that two swell pedals can be used. It would be a real plus if audio taper pots could be used because it would simplify use of old electronic consoles. However, that would probably require some analog electronics to condition the logarithmic input.Berold wrote: Do you miss some feature?
Judging from the traffic on these board, I doubt that the number would be large enough to support such a specific device. If I was trying to this, I would think in terms of a device that could be configured to do a wide range of specialized MIDI functions and just use supporting the various Miditzer models as a test of the versatility of my design.Berold wrote: How many people would need this device?

Hello,
thank you, Jim, for your response.
I agree, three potentiometer inputs would be better.
I don´t understand "audio taper pots". Could you explain it me, please?
Please, continue the discussion at

Re: 3. Combination Action, part 1
Hello Jim, Are the five videos on Combination Action still available to be watched? I know that you are in the process of establishing new site pages for the Miditzers, which will probably then show the how to videos' internet links. Could you make these links available now as I have some questions on how to use the Combinations set up.

The videos are now available on the new site:
https://miditzer.org/index.php/support/ ... ion-action
I still should update them though.

Hi Jim
Just a note to say that the tutorial links are working well as well as the "Next" buttons on each page.
The second "backup" link doesn't do anything.
Regards
Rick
