Hi again!
Has anyone of you encountered one or more selected stop/s that kept sounding evrn after the key is released? I had to either deselect that stop/s or completely close Miditzer. Pushing the cancel button won't do either because the sound will return again if i select ot again.
BTW thank you guys for being such a great help to me, especially Jim. I'm a newbie and knows nothing much about computer stuff.
Vincent

That sounds like you are pushing your computer past its capability to keep up.
What is the specification of your computer and operating system?

It's an old HP netbook running on Win XP. I'm not at home right now and can't recall at this moment about the computer memory etc.

The problem of a note continuing to sound is called a cipher. Click on the Miditzer label in the centre of the screen to clear it.

The function is hidden because you shouldn't need it. It is called a MIDI Panic Reset and it is not uncommon on MIDI devices. (Hiding it is not common though.
) It was deliberately not provided on early versions of the Miditzer so that people wouldn't just do a reset and not report bugs that caused ciphers.
When you have a cipher, look carefully at the on-screen keyboards. You'll probably find a key stuck down.
If you open the Windows Task Manager, the Performance tab will show a real-time graph of the amount of computer power that is being used. If that approaches 100% things will bog down to the point that it may take a long time, i.e. 20-30 seconds for notes to turn off. That is not technically a cipher, which is a stuck note that will never stop without intervention.
If you have a true cipher, then almost certainly a MIDI Note Off message is being lost. You should try to figure out why if this happens regularly. If you are using a low cost "no name" MIDI cable, those are known to be troublesome. Beyond that, it can be very hard to track down lost MIDI messages.
