elpaharo

Glad to see you are still out there, I was beginning to wonder. Don't forget the Miditzer 160C. It can be played with one keyboard and with the split keyboard even as a theatre organ.

Bob,

Like the suggestion, but the keys do not play like a piano to me. And, more importantly, the Misses has had enough of organs to last her a lifetime.

Also, I've listened to several gifted organist play Ragtime and it just seemed to miss the mark; IMHO. Now, if Jelani Eddington was at the keyboard>.........

Ya, I just dropped by to respond to PK asking about the photos and links in my old forum thread.

Thank you for the notice!

El Paharo (is that as in tweet-tweet?)

Well, your answer solves consternation here.
Preserve the family loyalty at all costs. Keep the lady happy.
May the King of Instruments ever UNIFY us!

HOWEVER . . .

After a two year hiatus here, your early postings helped me resume my loyalty to serve the King of Instruments and I couldn't believe you would drop out. I understand better now (your response surprised me).

Still, I may drop my orgel projects. Although downloading MidiTzer a couple decades ago transformed my life and I have missed it, to be honest I am a very busy person in my daily life, so organ projects are a sacrifice to begin with.

As Dodger team-member Chris Taylor says about thinking baseball, in the organ world we also "soak it in and replay it in our head." The passion is never far away. I have a sizable museum (most of it in storage currently) with organs and displays dedicated to reacquaint our zeitgeist with the awesome sounds the world turned its back upon and silently walked away.

So kudos for your priorities in life. There is also truth you expressed that we can devote so much energy to creative inventiveness we don't actually have time to PLAY anything. Nawt kewl.

Still, I hope to retrieve some of your previous downloads. As I evaluate the alternatives to my own life, I am scouring the chatlist for ideas, and your comments are inspiring in my quest. Although y passion is fierce, only time will tell what tomorrow brings into my life.

PK

El Pajaro translate to "The Bird" in Spanish. However, that was taken by someone else in hotmail so I changed the j to an h; thus, El Paharo

Good luck on your maybe project.
